Chung Moi Chinese Restaurant Reviews
Incredible Hakka dishes & warm hospitality! As someone who’s grown up on Hakka food in Toronto, I can easily say this is among the best. The chilli chicken was the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Another massive standout was the shrimp toast, easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted (pictured is 3 out of the 6, as my wife and I couldn't stop eating them). The owner’s hospitality made the experience even better; she was warm, funny, and made sure we were well taken care of. If you’re craving top-notch Hakka cuisine, this place should be your next stop.
This is one of the few Hakka restaurants that has truly kept the quality of its food intact. I highly recommend trying the Thai soup, dry chili chicken, and the Schezwan fried rice
A friend recommended this Hakka spot to me. Manchurian chicken with Manchurian fried rice was delicious! I can’t wait to return and try their other dishes!
Stopped in here after hearing a few good things online, I love checking out spots with chili chicken, and they have an excellent chili chicken, came out fresh, hot, crispy! The food here is authentic and actually spicy, I got the spicy fried beef rice, delicious. Portions were fair, but the service was great, very kind staff, indirectly overheard my girlfriend say she was cold and they literally without asking turned up the heat! Incredible service the entire time, a legendary local spot that I'm glad I finally got to visit, thank you and see you soon!
Absolutely delicious halal Chinese food. The food tasted really good, I have been looking for these taste in Toronto for some time. It actually felt like we are in Asia. Servers were friendly and welcoming. The food portion was really generous. We ordered one chicken fried rice and one chili chicken for the two of us. We couldn’t finish the whole food, took away for dinner. Certainly will visit again.
Currently due to Covid, this is one of the few Hakka places that is open for indoor dining. It's one of the best, clean and delicious taste. Everything on the menu that I tried was good: Chili Chicken dry, Beef noodles, chicken balls, shrimp fried rice, time before that Hakka vegetables and hot and sour soup. Only thing I wasn't a fan of is the hot and sour soup as it had too much coriander flavour in my opinion. Still a 5 star!
My favorite place to go for hakka Chinese food but also any Chinese food. The quality and quantity are the top . Never disappointed.
A hidden gem of a Hakka place is right. Owners are Hakka and have been running the restaurant for 27 years. Solid value for money with huge portions. Can't ask for more. Fried rice and chili chicken platter for one can easily feed 2. Shrimp toast was excellent as well but a bit pricier.
